isn't DD the only ones doing 80hr trips?
Charlie, if this is on the new DD boat, we will expect a full, detailed report with pics
I'll be doing a 2-day "warm-up" trip in Venice for my birthday.....

Well, guys it looks like we got the food MORE than covered. I will be making the food list this weekend. I wil assume that Billy is on board for the metric ton of pastries like last year? We still need volunteers for Eggs/breakfast chit.
Ok, it's about dang time we got back to the jackpot talk, don't y'all think?
I had outlined what I thought was a pretty fun set of award purses, with general payouts at around 150%, just to keep it gentleman-ly, and only $25 buy-in from each guy. there will also be physical Awards, but I need to get in gear if its gonna happen; it's alot of work! How about we all go back & review, & LMK if it's fun or stupid, or shoot some other ideas out there.

here-
this is what I'm thinking. everyone pays in $25.00, based on 25
best crazy action story of trip (by vote) $40
tuna pot(1 entry per angler, pays 1-$40,2-$20,3-$10)*red ziptie
smallest fish $40 *green ziptie
First to puke (un-forced, witness) $40
biggest non-tuna/shark $40 *blue ziptie
best injury (by vote)$40
best gear carnage(by vote) $40
first yft limit $40 (time recorded on vote sheet, witness signoff)
most species in bag $40
best food (by vote)$40
worst food (by vote)$40
Best Ice Chest, by vote based on 25, hi accum. score, 3 categories, 1-3 score each pays $40 1.) Ice retention 2.) Price (msrp) 3.) durability/hardware quality
All anglers will be issued a jackpot packet upon boarding, with a vote card, 3 zip-ties of different colors(to indicate your entry for tuna, non-shark, smallest fish), & ice chest judge card
all votes & entries must be recorded by 2am on the last night for consideration

The new Dolphin Express does not have bunks yet and does not do floater trips. The 80 hr trips are usually on the La Pesca i believe. I'd put $25 in a pot on whether or not Billy remembers his reel has a low gear. Nobody gets as excited as him fighting and landing a fish. We need to remember to ask hiM .... "Billy are you in low gear?"

Yeah Bobby & Brian it's Dolphin Docks Port A on the slowest boat on the planet La Pesca. I heard they were working bunks for the Dolphin Express but I don't think it will be ready by the time we leave? At any rate 3 nights on the floaters ought to be different.

Yeah Bobby & Brian it's Dolphin Docks Port A on the slowest boat on the planet La Pesca. Are they still supplying all the anglers with giant paddles?

Then how about losing a YFT while being gaffed only to have the line tangle in the wheels and the tuna is gaffed on the opposite side of the boat and tuna and Maguroni are both recovered?

I think I still have a storage building full of those "complimentary" paddles. But the boat took me to bluewater and back many times. DD has only had one boat sink. LOL and nobody died so not really a big deal. In times way past on 80 hour trips two nights were at the floaters and one night bottom fishing. Dont know if that is still the routine. I would be interested in checking out the new express. Maybe we could even get some customer loyalty rewards and get a dark moon phase. Always liked grabbing a whataburger burrito right across the street.
Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?
