I've had this happen twice. Once burning back a Super Spook that caught some grass, a sixer ran it down and inhaled it.
And with a buzzbait up at Clear Lake, N. Cal. An eight tried to eat it burning it back with a 3' tule snagged on it, and it tried to eat it again as I brought it up out of the water, like this one did, but the bait was closer, and the mouth coming out of the water wide open in slow motion was all I saw. About wet my pants, to put it nicely.
