I use the KVD Strike king flukes and always catch fish. I tried a Zoom for the first time and didn't even get a hit. What do you guys prefer?

I always have had the exact opposite experience. Lol. Can't catch anything on the Strike King and wear them out on Zoom flukes. Maybe there is something to the whole confidence thing.

Well I'll give the zooms a shot again bc they are so much less expensive. But I use the Smoky Shad color and have pretty good success.

I just like the presentation of the KVD better I guess. More confidence in it. I use the 3/0 EWG hook. What you guys using for the Zoom?

I've used what you use and the 4/0 as well with equal success.

Zoom for me too. The kvd's are a little too soft for my liking and tear easily.

I definitely agree with this. Especially the ghost shads. 1 or 2 uses out of them.

Love the fall of the KVD - the salt & softness gives it a great shake on the drop - I use a 5/0 offset Owner in mine...

This is also my experience. Just don't know for the extra $2 is the KVD worth it?

Zoom is the only one that I use and catch fish on. I don't catch as much with other brands so I stick to the Zoom. And I always dip the tail in chartruesse.
