that's a loaded question. There are a lot of good one. You just need to find one that your comfortable with. I have been with James and he is great. I hear nothing but good things about Mark Pack. Good luck on your search.

Book one that runs the same brand electronics that you have. I think that will help you a lot.

I've only fished with one so far but Cody Malone is a class act! There are definatly a bunch of good guys on fork guiding. I haven't hear anything negative about any of them.

Neither Pack nor Caldemeyer run humminbirds but both are very good guides and more importantly good people.

Mark Pack or Lance Vick. Pack doesn't run HB but he still knows them pretty well, I have fished with him in a boat running HB. Not sure what Vick runs but the guy knows his electronics.

Marc Mitchell

I've fished with a few on Fork and hands down, the best trips were with Marc Mitchell. A guide trip shouldn't necessarily be about catching fish, it's about being a better fisherman, learning your equipment, and just enjoying yourself with a very knowledgeable fisherman.

I fished with Marc on Feb. 28th this year, the conditions were cruddy. Cold, windy, and bright sun after a cold front. We only managed a few fish and after talking to other guys on the lake I don't think anyone caught more than 4 fish that day. But is was the best trip of my life. I learned more in that 8 hours than I had in years.

And the most important thing for me - Marc is an absolute BLAST to fish with. I don't think it's possible to have a bad time with the guy. Call him up!!
