Sorry Papamark we figured there were already so many T's on Fork that we would not be able to schedule without conflict.

We are changing our tournament season from September thru August to starting in January and ending in December. That left us with four months between seasons so we thought a series of open tournaments would be a good idea and a lot of fun. I don't blame you. Fall fishing is pretty good and most of the skiers will be gone.

We will be set up at the ramp by 5:15 on tournament morning, maybe 5:00. After signing in and livewell check you can leave to trailer to your ramp. Just don't leave the ramp you trailer to until 6:30. And that's cell phone or GPS time, not your Walmart watch that is eight minutes fast. LOL.
We are having to go with Plan B on the flyer print job. Dang, we can't believe how much places like Kinkos want for four color sheets. Still, we should have them out this week. We'll post when they are done.

We have flyers at Academy in Tyler now. We should have them at Shipp's Marine, Academy in Longview, Porter's, Donnybrook Automotive, Lake Tyler Marina, and Lake Palestine Resort in the next couple of days. PM me your email address and I'll send one to you.
Based on the feedback we're getting it looks like we're going to have a pretty good turnout.

Okay, here's an update...
We have rented the covered pavilion at the Johnson Creek ramp at Pines for morning sign-in and the weigh-in. Everyone will need to come to check-in to pay and for a live well check. If your live well hasn't been checked you may be out fishing, but you're not part of the tournament. We will be there by 5:15 to accept entries and do check-in.
Once you have signed in and had your livewells checked you can trailer to the ramp of your choice. Just don't leave that ramp until 6:30 a.m.
We have flyers at Academy in Tyler, Porter's, Academy in Longview, Shipp's Marine, Stewart's Donnybrook Exxon/Automotive, and at the little restaurant and convenience store right outside the Johnson Creek entrance. You can also PM me with your email address and I will send you one.
If you have questions give me a call at 903-570-6609.
For a $50 entry fee tournament the potential payouts in this series are really good. If we have 50 entries first will pay $1,000 at the ramp. Weigh in the most pounds for the four tournament series and you'll get another $500 after the December tournament. If you have the overall big bass and fished at least three that's an additional $300 on top of the amount you won at the ramp the day of the tournament.
If we average 30 entries per tournament we will end up paying out over 109% by the time the series ending bonuses are paid. If we average 50 per tournament payouts will amount to almost 102% of entry fees. It's pretty hard to beat that payout.

I just want to make clear that the $500 bonus for most pounds overall (for the four tournaments), $300 for second overall, and $300 for big bass of the series will be paid and are not dependent on number of entries. We expect a good turnout, but even if we only had 15 boats per tournament we would pay a series-ending bonus of $500 to our AOY...and that's in addition to the 90% payback at the ramp after each tournament.
BTW, flyers are also at Appliance Parts Company on Hwy 80 West in Longview.

We're two weeks out and looking forward to seeing everyone at Johnson Creek on Pines on the 21st. Hopefully the weather will have cooled off by then.
Remember, we're allowing trailering but only after registering and live well check at Johnson Creek. We'll be there by 5:15 a.m. and you can leave the ramp of your choice at 6:30.
You have to be checked in at Johnson Creek by 3:00 p.m. That doesn't mean you have to have your fish weighed, just that you have checked in at the ramp. At 3:01 anyone who hasn't checked in is disqualified. We'll have some instructions about how we plan to avoid everyone standing in line with their fish in bags at the same time that morning at check-in.
We're paying 90% at the ramp as soon as weigh-in is over. With the season-ending bonuses we're paying at Martin Creek in December total payout will probably be over 100%.
If we have 50 entries someone is going to walk away from the Johnson ramp with $1,000 for a $50 entry fee tournament.
See you there!

Brian, I believe we will have a good turn out. we have had quite a few tell us that they will be there and most are planning on fishing all 4 tourneys. No one can guarantee that there will be 50 boats but I know this area is looking for a trail much like this one. Individual Tourney with a reasonable entry with a good payout.
Our Sponsors have already cut checks to us to assist the payout so that we can offer the AOY something worth working hard for. Thanks so much to Shipps Marine and Stewart Donnybrook Automotive. We ask that anyone looking for a boat or service on boat or truck please look to these places that have stepped up first.
Thank You
Jody Kea
