Lake Fork Marina closed their ramps on Monday of this week. You might wish to take that in consideration if you are looking to stay and play in the same location. Popes Landing has nice rooms and the ramps are still in good condition. I have a trailer at Popes and have never had a problem with theft but I do remove my electronics in the evening. If trailing your boat is no great issue you would be hard pressed to beat Burning Stump.

+1 for Popes Landing. They by far have the nicest cabins and their ramps are still useable! I was at Pope's Landing last weekend and keep my boat near there. Talked to some folks who been there a while (long-time slip renters) about theft and what-have-you. Was all positive - including the Hotel stay.

The busted up dam... The helicopters stealing water... The sinkhole sucking up all the water... The pumps beside the highway filling up water trucks...
There won't be any water in October. Cancel your trip.

Hands down - The Burning Stump They have covered boat parking that you back into and it's directly in front of your front door. I mean the awning is attached to the front of the room.
Google it. It prolly has pictures. Yep! Definitely my favorite place! It also has a blacktop parking lot, and is less than a minute from the 515W Ramp, AJ's and Verona. One way in and out, and the owner lives on the property. Also, it looks like Pope's is making a lot of improvements to their property including some great looking new cabins. In my opinion, one of the best ramps on the lake, near popular fishing spots.

what about Mustang Resort, anyone ever stayed there? That's where I always stayed when I came down from Memphis, Butch and Linda have a great place. Rooms are always clean, and they have a security gate that locks up after 6 pm. The ramp is one of the ones that's usable when the lake is low. I moved to Winnsboro, so I don't stay at the lake anymore
