I had ordered some of these from Mark a few weeks ago and wanted to tell the forum about them. I'm not a pro by far but I can run with the big boys some of the time, and I have been fishing all my life. Having said that, I have pitched and flipped my fair share of jigs. But I have never flipped a jig so many times without a hang up. I was sinking his jig into trash that you couldn't have seen through if it was on dry land. I was trying to see what it would take to stick it (hard fishing) but after 6 hours, not 1 hang up. I was flipping next to big trees both horizontal & vertical. Brush thick and thin, and hydrilla without hanging up. I caught 4 good keepers and a few dinks and the weed guard slid to the side like its supposed to every time. Didn't come off the hook, but slid to the side for every hookset. I didn't miss any of the fish that bit that day. Guys, get with Mark Pack and get you some of these, I promise you will never use any other jig for your normal pitching & flipping situations!

Make a choice & go with it!

Thanks for the reports.

Actually to head off any confusion the name of my new Jig is Pack's Awesome jig, not to be confused with my former LFT's mpack jig.

But the name of my new company is m-pack lures.

Thanks,
Mark

Well pack where can we get some of these jigs? Have been on a killer jig bite all summer and would love to see if the reviews about less hang ups are true!

Oakridge Marina has them I am not sure if they ship to people.
Also lake fork marina has them and I do believe they ship.
In Dallas Ft Worth area Fun n sun has them.
I will have my web site up in about a month and you can order from there.

Pack you need to send me some to try at Guntersville when I go in two weeks. I'll get Chris hooked on them.

I will hang a jig on everything in the lake. I'm the classic dysfunctional jig fisherman. The roll guard on these jigs stopped all that. thumb

There are a few brush piles at Camelot Bell that will hang up a casting dummy. You basically have to tick your worm or jig across the tops of them without letting your bait fall. Let it fall and it's hung, every time. Pack's Awesome Jig is the ONLY bait I have ever been able to let fall to the bottom in these places. Now getting the fish out after you hook it, that's another story.
