Well I have a great wife! I wasn't planning on fishing today, but she woke up at 6:30 because our 1 year old was waking up and said babe you can go fishing today if you want. So I was on the water a little after 7.
Went to the same spot as Thursday but nothing. Headed down south to sweet 13 and only a bite. Drifted while dead sticking and casting another pole over by the red barn cove in 20 fow and caught a few. Went over to the power plant area and pick up about a dozen on the godfather fly combo in 13 fow. That died down really quick so I went back to spot one. Got there at 9:30am and they were there. Got a bunch of yellows on the 1.5 oz godfather/jig setup. Switched it up to the 1 oz Peekwi chrome swag and the bigggens came to play. Stuck with that and the mepps for about and hour straight catching fish. Biggest went 16.5". Got most fish on the mepps when reeled really slow. Casting the slab out pretty far, letting it hit the bottom and reeling up slow 3-5 cranks and then hitting the button worked best for the swag slab. Big thanks to moes and Dennis for the baits/techniques!! Good fishing to ya guys and be good to your wives and ya never know when they will repay ya;)

Nice report, Nick! Glad you've been getting out. I've been out maybe once in the last 2 weeks with Silversides, but since its now dove season and the lake is so low, I've been spending more time in the fields. Don't want to risk whacking a stump this close to duck season and needing repairs on my boat!
