I know that the road to the ramp by the Dam has been "ropped" off. How about the ramp inside lavonia Park? Is it off the limit as well? We plan to launch yak from there next Saturday. Yesterday--Sunday Little Ridge boat ramp is open ....Lavonia is closed and entrance is roped- stop- sign closed off. Bank fishing people--- If you want to walk the bank at Lavonia park..You have to pay $4 dollars to the attendant(city of wylie) at the Lavonia overnight camper entrance to walk the shore..Park attendant Corp..of Engineers- said, if you do not pay and are found in area fishing/walking/swimming whatever-- without the park pass for entrance on person..you will be escorted out and given a criminal trespass citation or arrested by city of wylie police or collin county sheriff...So pay $4 and have fun in lavonia park area 6am open--10pm closed. No sure if any one knew..

I went out to Lavonia last night to see where the free ramp was closed/roped oof at. Thought that if the walk wasn't that far, I walk in. The road down to the free ramp is closed off just pass the entrance to Lavonia Park, the pay to play area. The ramp by the power plant is still open. Looks like I'll be launching there this weekend.

I called and talked with the Corps yesterday and was told that we can park outside of the gate and walk up to the water. She stated we could even do that if we wanted to night fish, or just use one of the 24hr public locations.

Clouds got us today but the fish were hanging in 8-14 ft on the shelf at hybrid point. Boiled for 30 seconds. But most fish were hugging the bottom this morning. Boated 43 keepers with a lot being 13-15 inches.

Wednesday was steady fishing with no boil what so ever. Fish were cruising a drop off from 4 ft dropping off at 8 ft. I scanned all over the place and the only fish we could really find we're hybrid point's drop off's. Ended up with 60 or so keepers.

Today was an electronics trip learning how to see fish, structure, and locating schools on side imaging. My client for the day wanted to learn it all. Taught him in 10 mins how to throw a baitcaster and he was chunking it all day in amazement, that he now won't birdsnest all the time.
Air pressure was rising on us in the am and the birds and fish were doing nothing. Couldn't even find a school to show him what he really wanted to see. At 10 am we had zero bites or fish landed.
1030 am the air pressure stabled out and the birds took left the points and started hunting- or playing for that matter. We checked all seven spots to no avail. If they're not in those seven spots I have mentioned in the a couple pages back, with maps too, they are suspended main lake somewhere. And, they were! i was finding them in between Glasshouse and East Fork Park in the middle of the lake. They were suspended 15 to 18 feet down. If you're slab hits the bottom and start slapping the bottom, you would not catch anything. You had to make sure your slab is going up and down from 15 feet 18 feet. Today if you were 14 feet for shower, or 18 feet deeper, you would not get a bite. And there is no thermocline yet. We might not even get one this year?
When we finally found them we quickly put a limit in the boat. Caught doubles and triples on one rod. Fun stuff. Just took a bit to find them.

Reading and learning. Fishing is easy, catching can be a hard study. Today we landed three Sandies and a snagged gizzard shad. Absolutely terrible.

My friend and i were Kayaking this morning. We caught about a dozen keepers, few of them were of good size. We tried to cast all direction, when we had hook up, we threw the marker in, stayed and fish.

Saw a 8-10 lb pure Striper floating today. On the am trip we landed 42 and it was slow.
My clients are staying in a hotel. I wanted to fish the pm today so I invited them out at 5 pm. At six pm lightning chased us off. Waist of gas.
