I have an XS hull and can't get it to chine walk if I try... Having said that, it isn't fast either... But a good boat!

I was behind a Triton yesterday with a 250XB on it. It had two young kids in it, could not have been more than 17 or 18. I was running 73 on GPS and they were leaving me very easily. My partner said, "Do you see that Triton?" If they can run like that, it must not be too bad to drive. One would't think that have that much experience.. You never know how much seat time they had, my dad had a bass boat before I was born and always had one and I've always had them pretty much. At 17 I had years of seat time already.

More to the point, these are my thoughts with my triton experience.
Great fishing platform, good storage. Ice chest sucks. Hole shot is terrible , but still working on that. I would not consider it fast, as 74 is about all I have gotten out of it so far(still workin on that too). And that was empty.
69-70 is about what I have been able to get 2 up full tourney load.
Tr21x 250xs 1.62 t-master.
It's comfortable, fishes big water decent and all in all a solid boat.
I just haven't seen the rocket ship speeds others are claiming, nor have I seen another one running that hard either.

What year model boat you running ? If your hole shot is bad I bet it is your prop that is the problem, that is probably why your speed is low also. I have a 2012 HP and they are probably the slowest year model made, I have seen 76 fully loaded, some folks are running 78. More to the point, these are my thoughts with my triton experience.

hp's are supposed to be faster than trx's from what i've read. anyway 05 tr-21x. the 1.62's are being a pain to prop right. i've ran 3 props so far, but most of my props aren't idea for this boat. 23 high five, fires out of the hole 70 on the limiter 26 tempest super slow holeshot loaded, 74 empty 69-70 loaded 26 fury even slower holeshot, didn't bother running it up tried to try a 25 t1 but it's a fat shaft on new lower, so no go got a 25 hydro to try next, would like to try a 24 or 25 trophy and bravo

Loaded?? I don't see it, going off my experience. Empty is one thing loaded is another. the xb's are strong we've got a250 XS All i know is what i've gotten a tr-21 with a 225 ho, a tr-21x with a 225 opti and now a 250 xs to run. And how easily I have passed every triton i've ever seen on the water in my other boats. I'd liek to get this barge up and moving, but it's proving more difficult than what i have read. plus it's freaking hot out right now..

Weird. I'd suggest trying out a Trophy Plus if you have issues with hole-shot.

Talk to Danny Tidwell that has posted on this thread. He has tested Dozens of props. He can probably save you some time.

Two people, I think it would run 78-79 range. That 250XS is just as strong as the XB. The Heavier X series Tritons will not be as fast as a older TR21 or the newer HP series (HP is same hull as the old TR).. They like 2.5" Below the pad in most cases. Good luck with it man!

The big difference I believe is the 1.62's. I think most triton owners are running 1.75's with a torquemaster. Gotta have a small wheel to get it up, and then run out or rpm's on top. Still have the 1.75 fleet master from the opti, need to stick it on for a test run and see how much of a difference it makes. No way I could swing a 27 fury with the 1.62's This motor came off a bullet.

I've run everywhere from 3.5 below pad to 1.5 below, 2.5 seems to be the best light and 3 loaded so far.

He can help you a lot.

If they did i'd have it ironed out by now lol. Given enough time I'll have this thing figured out, both my bullet and my Allison ran thier asses off, just takes time and set-up and a ton of props!!!!!
