Group email sent to all on the TFF Doce Tuna charter regarding the possibility of the charter doing the super deep drop fishing on this trip.

Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

Yeah I agree. We should be able to tell on our bait stop if there is too much current to do this and enjoy it.

And for me the only way I could do this is if they let us top off some of the electric reels to use. I been reading stuff like "when you deep drop manually sometimes just reeling up to change baits can take 25 minutes ..."

OMG

the super duper deep drop doesn't do much for me. Lots of work. But it does open up some time to drink some cobeer!

Bill,
We riding down again?

Joe

Howdy! Just my 2 cents on the discussion of possible super deep drop during our Tuna trip. Just by reading on this thread it sounds like a lot of time, travel, work, and specialized gear for a might or maybe for a chance at Tilefish. Personally I'm not interested in not utilizing our limited time on the water to not be fishing for AJs and other species around the rigs like we have done in the past during the day. I'm there to fish for TUNA, that's what I signed up for. Thanks, Billy.

It sounds like a new trip for Super Deep Dropping needs to be planed. An experimental trip next year maybe. My Vote is for Tuna first and if we get our Limit quick head back in and see what kind of trouble we can get into.

I think we're all on the same page with this.

On every floater I've taken for the past 12 or more years except when we fished Perdido .... we've some back in to do some daytime dropping for Ajs, Beeliners and the like. While i appreciate AJ and Beeliner fishing I feel if we do come back in to do some bottom fishing it may as well be for Tiles. Like others I think if the conditions do not make it doable then let's don't do it.

That's "Cobeer"! Not to be confused with regular ol cold beer! "Cobeer" uses salt in the cooler ice mixture to make the beer colder than 32 degrees! smile
