Was out there this morning with a buddy from work, he was amazed, as was I.
We got out to hybrid point around 6:20, they were boiling out in 28 FOW. Later they moved in shallower, which is when the super-boil and boat show Carey was talking about happened.
Great day on the water, more fish boated in a short amount of time than I have ever seen.

I have seen a school of shad like that only once in my life. Richland Chambers in the very late winter, right before the sandies started heading up the creeks to spawn. I was with Doyle Holman, in his boat, with Eric Emeritz, and we followed the school for a solid 4 hours, and caught countless numbers of whites. There were probably 10 other boats that did the same thing, and everyone was catching them. The seagulls got fat that day as well!
Fun times for sure.

Hey guys, I launched at Ticky Creek last Sunday with no issues. However, a friend just told me that ramped is now closed. Is Ticky Creek officially closed?

David ( Double Dee ) and I went out today on lavon and tried to get in on the epic fishing that happened saturday. It wasn't epic but it was steady fishing. But not like yesterday. We got 50 plus sand bass in 4 1/2 hours. Carey said the pressure rising slowed em down so we had to drag a tail spinner in the mud to get some fish. We did see some sporadic top water over near the power plant inlet but they would not stay up long. We did get in there a snag some of those though. If we were keeping i would say we could have cleaned 30 good fish. The rest were 10 inches and under, Any way David i enjoyed the company and glad you went with me. Carey. Capt, BigSkippy and Jimbo good to see you guys. Also Met Steve at the ramp , I forgot your TFF name but it was good to meet you

Keith, it was great fishing and laughing with you today in your "jet boat" on Lavon. It sounds like we missed an epic time early before the sun came up out at HP with boiling action out deep. Carey had his clients on fish and Jimbo and BigSkippy were catching steady fish today. I'm glad Capt. made it out and heard he was on some major fish as we were about to leave. The marine radio that Keith has talked earlier on this post is something I am definitely going to get soon. 90% of the fish I caught were on a chart tail spinner fished in the mud like Keith said. Slow rolling was the key to me getting some big sandies today. The rest of my fish were caught on a slab dragged along the bottom. Great times again on the lake, thanks Keith!

Yesterday--Sunday Little Ridge boat ramp is open ....Lavonia is closed and entrance is roped- stop- sign closed off. Bank fishing people--- If you want to walk the bank at Lavonia park..You have to pay $4 dollars to the attendant(city of wylie) at the Lavonia overnight camper entrance to walk the shore..Park attendant Corp..of Engineers- said, if you do not pay and are found in area fishing/walking/swimming whatever-- without the park pass for entrance on person..you will be escorted out and given a criminal trespass citation or arrested by city of wylie police or collin county sheriff...So pay $4 and have fun in lavonia park area 6am open--10pm closed. No sure if any one knew..

The darn motor cover was off the engine head..if you can not stop your motor please get it out of the lake..And please kindly for everyone...do not drive through the very large school of little fish jumping out of the water being chased by the very big fish we WERE catching before you ran through them..thank you again!

Sunday was the first time I tried the sand bass fishing. Me and my four year old son was in the jon boat. Seen you all catching all around me we managed one keeper size the rest were small. Thinking a guide trip is in order. Maybe they will be able to teach me how to catch some fish.

There is a old blue ranger that trolls all over the lake thru the schools. I have named him the new "Carp Turd". There was another carp turd, but this guy took the trophy. He trolled literally within spitting disdance of my boat.
As for the boat with no engine cover.. I saw a school in the distance of big fish, this guy ran thru the middle of the school and then shut down...... Weird.
Sunday was slow for us with 30-40 boated.
We did land a new Jr. Lake Record white bass x yellow bass hybrid certified at bass pro. Congrats little one!
