Jody, if you or Nathan figure it out, we are in trouble. This will be fun.

As much as I'd like to keep this place a "secret"...I cannot lie - Lake Cliff park holds lots of bass! I've caught tons as have my kiddos. Lots of hydrilla, but nothing crazy. Fish here like soft plastic worms....black zooms, pumpkin seed and even old-school "fire and ice". My personal best out of here was a 2.3 pounder
Due to the revitalization of north oak-cliff...this park is well-maintained and relatively safe. Just don't leave valuables visible in car and you'll be fine.
And, yes, there is a homeless guy who lives in the sewer pipe....all "Billy-Goat-Gruff" style!

And YES....you can take a Kayak. There are no restrictions in the city ordinance against it, and even if there were...no cop would ever tell you to get off. It's a bit small, but a kayak working the reeds and center would have much success.
FYI....the fish have been slow lately there. Not like it was in the summer. You may to work real slow for bass. I know they're there, but not hitting to hard.
Good luck
