heck yeah.. got caught on Livingston when a storm came up fast.. nosed dive a wave and about ripped the trolling motor off the front. the water was over the seats and then we nose dived a second wave. The bilge was pumping but the wind was blowing the water back in the boat.. The guy that owned (was captaining) the boat looked at me and said don't worry its a ranger.. I looked back and said what about the motor.. hahaha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNMfFaApdA0watch this video... you will laugh for sure..

Toledo Bend with a 20mph north wind was the scariest experience I have ever had on a lake.

In this order, per my experience: Toledo Bend (Huge Rollers) Falcon (storm blew in, rough landing about knocked the wind out of me) Rayburn Ray Roberts Texoma Tawakoni Conroe (coming from all directions) Richland Chambers

Pretty much any of the lakes that run north/south can be brutal in Texas, especially in the spring when the north wind blow thru. Toledo Bend, Tawakoni, Cedar Creek, Palestine to name a few. Any of the massive sized lakes can get crazy in almost any high wind situation; Falcon, Amistad, Texoma and even Whitney (on the south end). The good thing about the large lakes is that they also tend to have large coves, almost like small lakes themselves that run opposite of the main lake (like east/west) so if you can get in them, you can get out of the high winds. Hopefully, they have a launch there too!
