Expo was ok but not many people there. All the big vendors on the first floor and a few vendors on the second floor. Took us only about an hour to do the whole show.

It was my first fishing expo. Been to many racing expos, so I was very disappointed. Expected more boat vendors besides ranger, triton and stratos. Seemed like to much stuff that wasn't fishing oriented

Seemed like to much stuff that wasn't fishing oriented These are their sponsors... Skeeter doesn't pay them so they aren't invited... Part of the game. And I was there today, id say it was all fishing oriented except a hand full of hunting booths... Fishing lures, boats, clothes, shoes... All based on fishing It could have been better but overall a good experience

I attended a Tour event in Hot Springs and it was awesome. Lots of vendors and a big crowd. The Chevy dealer had just about every model Chevy makes available for test drives, Pure fishing had huge booths for their brands, Cabelas jad a booth, and on and on. Really cool deal, I figured for a Tour event to be like that, The Cup would be a huge deal.
I did not attend the Cup this year so I cannot compare it to the Tour event.

I am at the Cup event now and it sure isn't nothing Special , I have been to Elite events with a way better turn out at them on a Thursday weigh in compared to the Poor turn out this cup had yeasterday on a Sat. And the Expo wasn't nothing very specail either.

Fringe Tackle's day 8/17: 4:30 am coffee in the lobby & 45 mins of uninterrupted time with an Elite. (extremely rare and 24+ hours late I still can't believe it) 10:15 at the convention met up with our joint venture partner (you'll know soon enough). 11:40 met with FLW Major qualifier for 2014 to discuss potential sponsorship & possible signature series product line. 12:00 met with writer/publicist (not as boring as I thought it would be) 12:40 met with potential contract pour/designer (sure to make line thru swimbait users happy). 2:00 had a little fun at the expense of an exhausted angler who had missed the cut and was very cordial and a better man than I or just about an angler I know would've been in the same situation. 2:15 I was trying to break my wife's hypnosis standing by a beautiful black Triton...snapped my fingers 3 times and said "House". 2:50 I hadn't been fishing for 5 days but felt like it...pumped gas and nap time 10 mins after leaving Shreveport.
This was a full day for us and getting out and visiting with anglers of all different skill levels from so many parts of the country was a lot of fun and best I got to use the "tournament voice" you know the one. I for one dislike crowds...people stepping on my feet, bumping into me and limited amount of one on one time at booths....
I'm not an FLW or BASS homer and could care less either way so don't read too much into this post.

I like the live "on the water" cam... especially being able to watch multiple anglers at once. I wish it was a little better resolution, but it's probably quite a bit of data to send through cyberspace too.
The updates though, are kind of a joke.

Maybe Bossier didn't put up enough bucks..

Didn't look like the crowd was really getting into it. They always seem to with BASS events.Of course it could have just been the cruddy video feed they had of the weighins.

Just left guys and over half the people there today were to see Free concert or wanting to Win the Free Ranger . And it was still a poor turnout for a Cup

The on the water coverage is terrible. The live blog is updated by one guy like once an hour. It's weird how FLW's website is lightyears ahead of Bass but on this count they are way behind.
Yield not to misfortunes but advance ever more boldly against them
