Matt called yesterday with an update on his way home from visiting the hospital. While talking I mentioned to Matt. "There are times in life when there are things a lot more important than fishing. This is one of those times." To see all the notes and prayers and encouragement restores your faith in mankind. We will all keep praying. Thanks for keeping us updated.... God Speed....

I just read this thread for the first time and what a wonderful story it tells of the many wonderful God loving members on this site. I too will begin praying for Colt that he may continue to improve and make it home with mom and dad. We all take many things for granted too often, I know I do at times. But knowing God and the power of prayer is a comfort to us all.

Prayers with you and your family. Have the doctors put a name to the illness? Is it the very rare Pemphigus? I have a close relative that has this under control with strict diet and medications.

They have said that it is some form of EB. But without a biopsy there is no way to know for sure if that is what it is or how severe. The dermatologist will do the biopsy next week and we will have the results in a month or so. It really wouldn't surprise me if he says that he doesn't have EB. Colt hasn't had a single new blister since birth! He's got a few scratches and what not but all the nurses say that he looks awesome. Some of the ones who have seen EB kids before were hesitant to come into the room because the ones they've seen have looked so bad. We've seen miracles like this since day 1! God has been so good to us through all of this so far. Please keep us in your prayers in the coming weeks and months. We'll have a ton of different appointments from physical therapy (they'll help us dress his wounds), pediatrician, dermatologist, and so on. Thanks for all the prayers and support so far! We are excited to see what the Lord has in store for us in the future!

Keep us in your prayers today. We are going to the dermatologist at 230 to see what he thinks. He will probably do a biopsy so we know for sure if what he has is EB and what type it is. I'll try to post some pics of him tonight if I get time. Thanks
