Gonna take my daughter to RR tomorrow. So far the new boat has hit Lewisville and Grapevine, next on the list is cedar creek.

accuweather says 6 mph wind today
weather.com says 16 mph wind today
So which is it? Not sure I want to take my daughter out on Ray Roberts with 16 mph wind.

I would always side on the higher wind gust forecast. Shoot, when they say it's only going to blow 10, it's white capping before you know it. Just find some protected spots and you should be good to go.

I agree .....5 to 10 ....seems to be 50 to 100 .... I think they forget the extra zero sometimes ... I kant count the times it was supposed to 4 mph and we ended up fightin high wind velocities .... we joke in the boat almost everytime about it as we bob like a used up 2 liter out there in the waves .... its a howlin and we is getting smacked and someone yells ... thank god its only a 4 mph with gusts a 7 today ....hehehe I hope ya ketch em well ....be safe and have a great trip

Buck Creek ramp works no matter what the wind is. Lots of great protected fishing up there too!! Pond Creek by the Sanger access is also Ok when there is a South wind with lots of great fishing in the coves and creeks just North of there. If you stay close to the shore as you move around you never have to get out in the big waves to get to the fish in either one of these locations.
See you on the lake and have a great day!
