That's great! Good for all of you. I hope they are hooked.
I am lucky enough to not remember my first solo. My grandmother got me started so early I can't remember exactly. We fished! She was awesome. Started with a cane pole and "cork" (actually a red/white bobber - but we didn't call it a "bobber". I thought that sounded a little sissy). We caught a lot of black bass and crappie - Nana always called'em WhitePerch.
She did good for me and now you have for the Boys!!! That is why I rarely fish alone! Good words to hear. Thanks, John

My first bass was at a golf coarse pond on a crappie jig when I was around 6 years old.
