Just when I was about to throw in the towel.... after getting off of work ( night shift 11 pm to 7 am ) Thursday morning I head to unknown water to try to learn more about my fish finder after reading all the good post about Cedar Creek I pick my two boys an nephew an off we went . Launch the boat by 198 , big drop off at the ramp, went look at few spot by the dam using Dennis C map an Nada , I guess it really take a lot time on the lake to understand an know what ur looking at , maybe they were but couldn't get them to bite or just there but by then it was hot so I let the boys swim why kept trying to figure out My bird . On the way home was think about selling boat , I had even ask my boys whats they thought . No sir was there answers. So I started to do more readsearch on forum to see how to put my boys on some fish before school starts .I guess the Man heard me . There out of the blues there an offer to put some boys on some fish. What To Do . My first post was a pm to CHRIS RRRICHARDSON .He sent me his number an I call , we made plan to hook up . We didn't know what we were getting into .Start at 7am hit one spot Nada , second spot limit out . Boats started to show up , some were even torlling right on top of the school of fish we were catching . First time seen that happen . So hit two more spot showing what to look for .We were good by then . The man said now for some hybrid . Went to the fsirt spot mark a lot of fish but no taker .Second spot got crazy , four pole out then it happen . We had doubles an then we had all pole bent I was net the fish taken hook out an more fish was coming in , I could not keep up with this guys crazy fun . Never met this guy before and his friend that keep my kid laughing the hole time am amazed that he took time out of his day to put us on some crazy fun fishing an show me how to read the fish finder.....Thanks again Chris and Bill RICHARDSON

We took the second trip out Saturday. I had a blast with Bill and his son Austin. We put the smack down on the hybrids.

Are you catching them on slab/spoons/sassy, trolling or dare is say it mepps? We have been using lures early and late, and live bait in between. If I feel like I have to troll I just go home lol this time of year...minners I bet! Yep, 3 to 4 inch shad minners
