Welcome!
Y'all should see the morning boat shows at Lavon. Saturday is busy with 11-15 boats on average. Sunday is 2-5 boats. Weekdays 3 ish. And tons of Sandies. Just have to find em. Again we have radios and we are all on channel 78 and it works great. Make sure u get 6 watt radios or greater. 5 watts won't reach u even if I can see u for some reason. The 6 watts, I can pick u up at Lavonia and u can be at Collin park.
7 spots to find them at. 8 if you include main lake suspended fish like today. But again I said if they r not in those 7 spots, they r probably suspended somewhere. If u can't see the island, ur no where near the main school. It's a very small lake.
I saw no more than 10-15 boat at any given time. If your at the end of the island, u can see every boat pretty much on the whole lake. -4 jet skis and two wake boarders and one 35 hp - 15 ft boat with five people trying to wake board. Very amusing. I have hit Hubbard 3-4 times this year and have done very well, but holy poop, 4 mph south wind with 4-5 ft rollers the whole time. To many weeked warrior googans for me. The lake is a washing machine. Takes 10 mins to 15 mins to get spot to spot. Lavons 7 spots take less than 5-6 mins to hop to the furthest one. And the fish are super big this year.

I'll be doing the $50 seats till the crappie bite starts up again. That is when the thermocline settles in. Could be in a couple days, could be a month. Any day really. Our thermocline usually settles in at 18 ft depths. Most of the fish will be no deeper than 15. Crappie will be at 10-12 ft and Sandies will be on roadbeds again and in coves touching main lake near the RR and glass house.

Some got a bit confused.
Party Boat Trips : $50.00/ Seat up to 4 people.
Private Charters : $225.00/ 1- 2 adults ( 2 kids free )
( The party boat trips will keep going till the crappie start biting again, then my main focus is crappie fishing mainly. After the crappie bite slows down in Octoberish- I start my trout trips, shad trips, and bank fishing rivers and creeks for the Winter Crappie run. )
Call text email PM me to reserve a seat.
A lot of y'all couldn't find a buddy or afford a full price private trip. Just trying to get y'all on the water. -And keep me on the water! Thanks guys.

Wife and kids are going out of town thursday so I may be looking at another trip for sat or sunday. Hopefully you'll have some seats still.

Hybrid Point was on fire this morning quickly put the limit in the boat of big fish.
On a side note: new rules for party boat.
1. If your buddy don't show up, I'm not launching with only one person in the boat. It's completely rude as hell to bail on a guide. We don't make much money as is. I could have put three other peeps in the boat that actually wanted to go fishing, no problem. Now those three peeps are banned forever from using my services. We guides put time and money into each trip. Today three of the guys didn't show. I went ahead and went out anyways, but it actually cost "me" money to take the one person out. I put $20 in boat and $20 in gas in truck this AM. Then ice and drinks. Waisted my time today. Had fun, but do u really think my old lady cares if "I " had fun or not? Old ladies just want money.
2. These r catching fish trips only. On a private trip, I will teach u everything you want to learn. Otherwise, a party boat goes out to put meat in the boat only. I will answer questions, yes, but I'm not going to dial you in on electronics, on party boat trips. The whole logic to party trips is to haul butt and find fish.
-yup. Carey got irritated today.

I was not going to just leave him on the bank. It was not his fault his buddies drank last night or whatever. This is just a heads up for future situations. Fish blew up for about 1 hour at Hybrid Point. The birds were working a little bit here and there. Nothing at glass house or Lavonia. We limited on Hybrid Point and then went looking around but it was to windy to even really scan with side imaging. Thermocline still has yet to settle in. Anyday now. Here is a pic of a Lavon dink from a day or so ago. The birds were sitting on the bank the other day doing nothing at 8 am. I went over to them and started chunking my slab on the bank to make them fly. They flew, and went out and started to dive on a school telling us where they were, and we started catching. Lol. Funny stuff.

No hybrids. Just sandie trips. I'm going to do the party boat trips till the crappie start biting again. Could be 1 more week, or could be a month. Till that happens, the special $50.00 a seat will continue. Unless u want the boat to yourself for a private charter( $225.00), electronics trip ($150.00), or bait trip($150)
