I tie a trilene knot and have it super wet when working knot tight. Strongest knot I have ever seen. Also use p-line and trilene flourocarbon only.

I think the most important thing I find is just test your knot and inspect it to make sure you tied a good knot.
At first it was about the fish, now it's about so much more...

I throw braid to flouro leader on almost everything. I have had no promblems with my flouro breaking. +1 8# braid on spinning and 50# on baitcaster with flouro leader. I land 98% of the fish I hook. No breakoffs since, including a 6' blacktip I use a crazy albero knot to join them and a fishin fool terminal knot.

Give Bass Pro's XPS version a try. I use 20 pound test and haven't had a problem at all with break offs. I use it on all of my TX rigs and jigs.

The guys that believe in Flouro REALLY believe in it.
Personally, I experienced too many problems with it and have gone back to Big Game. Simpler, cheaper, casts better, far fewer failures, knots work all the time. I acknowledge I may not get an occasional bite, but overall that's my choice.

I use flouro in clear water or with any technique where I really want to feel my bait. . I tie a regular pallomar . And my break off percentage is no greater than mono. Or braid.
I personally only use braid for a couple of techniques. I don't like it that much.
First I make sure I don't slack line hook set . The shock will break the line. I don't put it on my heavy flipping stick. You need the rod to absorb some shock. If you are a backlasher flouro is not for you. You have to be carefull not to kink the line it will break there every time. I make sure my pallomar is very tight against the hook and don't let the line cross in your knot. I re tie after every catch , and watch my line carefully (especially around rock)

I use Berkley 100% Flourocarbon 12lb test! It's very versatile and when using jigs and t-rigs, you can feel every time it hits the bottom! My friend advised me to try it out a year ago and that's all I've thrown since!
