Does anyone know if Lake Murray in OK has a sandbass population that can be fished from the bank or slow moving inflatable boat? I'm meting my brother there to camp this weekend and just wanted to know if I should bring my sandbass stuff or target smallies and catfish.

They do have a good population of sandbass but as far as bank fishing for them I do not know.

You can fish them from a small boat. Go to the three fingers area at the Marietta landing.

You'll catch more smallmouth than sand bass. The lake is full of them.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Thanks guys, I'm glad to know they are there and glad to have a spot to start from.

I fish it all the time. Natural colored crank baits seem to work better than slabs there. Clear water may be the reason. Good luck

Thanks GetTheNet69, I'll have to go pick up some cranks before I go.
