I recall that Mike Izzo and John Wakemon were the first two on the stand-by list. But sure who was first though.

A recent dolphin dock trip made some deep drops very successfully. The report is on 360 and being discussed on the TX Grizz thread. A comment was made in that thread about making some deep drops on this trip. If conditions are decent (current and drift due to wind) I would love to deep drop. I may regret it when getting a taste of winding in 1000 feet of line but sure would love to catch some fish I have not caught before and I hear the deep water fish are yummy!

What do you guys think?

I'm very interested as well. Always fun to catch fish you have never caught before. I have also heard a rumor that there may be a second red snapper season this fall. Anyone else hear this?

I have seen the link on some other forums, if I understand right there will be a bonus season. The dates will be set in August. It seems it could be Oct 1-21 or a weekend format through November. Don't take this for the gospel cuz I am not to worried about it unless a season is announced. A weekend format in November would be sweet.
