We would rent the course for half of the day. I have been involved in many
tournaments and it all depends on how many people we get.
Its possible that one of the sponsor would cover cost of golf course.

I'm willing to bet the course will cut us a deal if we have enough people get in on it.

AS far as scoring goes my initial thoughts were that realizing not everyone is great at golf that in a scramble format there would be no penalty for bogies or worse everyone should be able to make several pars and even the best teams normally at most end up at around 10 under par. So again pars worth 1 lbs. birdies 2 or 3 lbs. and eagles 5 lbs.

Even if a team only had 7 pars they would start day two with 7 lbs. and the best teams after golf would maybe be around 20 lbs.

My experience is if your good at golf you probably suck at fishing !

Fish day could be done with volunteers that could run the lake to way any overs and log as score keepers.

Maybe I'm thinking to big but can't help but to think there is a lot opportunity out there for big sponsorship's for a event like this.

I know there are hundreds of fisherman around that spend all year on the water either chasing the tournament trials or out fun fishing I would love to see an event like this bring in all the corporate sponsors and give them a chance to give back to the fishing community.

Open for thoughts on all the above.

Look out for that silver-haired flat belly!

IN. I know several very good bass fisherman that are also excellent golfers.

Louie, Lands End is a fun course. You would enjoy playing it. Especially if the lake was up a bit.

You could park your boat, get picked up (with your sticks) by the staff, be driven to the clubhouse and tee off 15 minutes later. Have a burger after the round in LE's 4-star clubhouse and get a ride back to your boat. If you timed it just right, there could be a DD trying to spawn in the shadow of your bug. Just be sure and leave room for your clubs in one rod locker. We don't need any stumblin' goin' on. And bring a motor cycle helmet. Especially for when you're idling back to the creek in Little Caney. You'll be like the p/u cart on the driving range...

If you don't have enough teams for closing the course, you can just reserve a block of tee times. Probably cheaper in the long run. And I have seen pictures of the beverage beauties, and they are not ugly.

Louie, I'm bettin' you could play the course with a driver (or your favorite long club) a wedge and a putter. And shoot 75. Me, I'd need the entire bag and play bogey golf, at best. How many clubs am I allowed in a bag, 41? hmmm

Lands end is a great course. I've played it and love it. Well kept, pretty cart girls, etc. I'm no scratch golfer, best I've shot at lands end was an 88 but it was a blast of a course.

Sat and Sun would be fun, and getting sponsors should be gotten. To start it off, Papa's Baits will sponsor a Par 3, a hole in one pays and extra $100 and 5 baits of your choice, two 10 oz. bottles of Catch and Release/Please Release Me.

Just plan it when there are no BIG Tournaments on Fork

Let the Games Begin !!!!

I likey!

Just don't try to over complicate the scoring deal. I confuse myself easily. Dealing with the slot on Fork is enough of a struggle! LOL!
