I know this might not belong in the Crappie section but i thought the crappie fishermen might like to hear of this,
A friend of mine that owns a large tract of land off 274 just south of Kings Creek told me yesterday that he met with the Tarrant county officials from ft. worth last week and they wanted to trade him another piece of propery and pay the difference for his large tract of land, They said they wanted to run a very large pipe line from the trinity river to that area and to build a grasslands area like they built at Crandall and then run it into Cedar Creek lake, they said it would take 5 years to complete and at that time they hoped to keep cedar creek at a more constant level. I myself hope this comes true, And he did say he was taking them up on the offer. This is just what he told me.

You can say what want, but water is our most precious commodities, next to our children... They are planning for future growth. IMO

I hope they do it. Everytime it rains, I watch all that water in the trinity just run right by CC.

5 years, CC may very well be dry by that time.

Not to mention the fact that Tarrant Co W.A usually doesn't SEND water anywhere. You know, once it is all in place, wouldn't it be a pretty simple chore to just TURN the pumps around and PULL water out of CC?

Tarrant regional water district has won many consservation awards and accolades for their wetlands model that they have done around Richland Chambers. Their project is now being written about and copied around the world as a world class all natural water purification project.

Sounds like good news! As for the precious resource...2/3 of the earth is covered with water. And salt is just as precious...it's as vital as water to our survival. A wetlands project is a good use of our time and efforts.

Yeah!! Just like Ray Roberts was going to make Lewisville Lake constant level. How's that working out.

Quaaaaack quaaack quack.... Thats all I heard as I read that. Sounds like a duck hole in the making. One thing about living here in la as opposed to my former great state of tx. Good duck holes are litterally everywhere. I hope this deal works out.. for all involved and affected by it. CC is one hell of a good lake for all fish species really. I've has some of my very best times on that lake ans anything said to benefit it, I'd love to see.

Have they completed the one at Richland Chambers yet? Just wondering when the lake will ever be at constant level again. Lot of multimillion dollar homes there with no launchable boat docks.

They won't control the water level of the lake if it's like RC, which I'm pretty sure it is. The water is a slow trickle into the lake. Basically, water is pulled from the trinity and ran through wet cells which are called wetlands which naturally purify the water. Ton of ducks, but hardest place in the world to kill a limit per sky blasters....
