Isn't that a black rapala scale on the bottom of the floor? It was broke and (he was in his partner's boat) Sh-- happens.

thanks to everyone who replied (well almost everyone). What I'm really looking for is something clever to write on the plaqe (like Fouzman offered). I'm not going to put a weight on it. Obviously that opportunity is lost. I appreciate the links to the calculators. I've been through many, many of them and the calculations range between 12ish and 16ish. I do have a good scale with me at all times now.

Thanks again everyone. I'm leaning toward the "SCALE FAIL" or perhaps "LESSON LEARNED". I'm looking forward to all of the upcoming opportunities to "tell the story" (who wouldn't). I'm definately not going to put a guestimated/calculated weight on the plaqe but I will put name, date, and location. Looking at Lake Fork Taxidermy to do the replica. She will likely be the biggest I will ever catch. BTW she was returned to where she was caught within 30 min.
