I just bought a new boat, as the wife didn't like the 14 foot jon boat any more, too rough in the lakes, not enough room, I chose a 20 foot SeaArk aluminum in the Coastal200V configuration. Center console, 115 Mercury Optimax. It will be for all types of fishing, but I believe it is well suited as catfish rig.

Yep. My 19' Bluewave is that way except its written in slime.

I run a 21ft center console, works very good and I love the boat. BUT everytime I fish out of it I think of a way it could be different to better suit my needs. How many center consoles do you know have a 4ft livewell? Or have rod storage big enough to hold our rods? If your going out to buy a new boat and 90% of the time its used for catfishing wouldn't it make sense to buy a boat that suits your needs? I know my next "fishing" boat will be a "catfish" boat.....

I have holders on the center console, that is were rods belong, don't have a rod box and wouldn't use it if I did. Having a 4' livewell doesn't make it a catfish boat it makes it a boat with a big live well.

No it makes it a BAD A$$ CATFISH BOAT! Big fish deserve a big live well i never want to fish a tournament and show up with a show stopping fish only to find her dead. No one wants to lose points or cash for a dead fish. GO BIG OR GO HOME bang life lesson #213 work smarter not harder.

Those were only two examples, thanks for trying to tear my thread apart.....lot of folks travel, so staying at a hotel a good rod box with a lock comes in handy!! A 4' livewell accommodates a catfisherman better than the tiny livewells found in most center consoles. I'm glad your boat works for you, this is simply opening the options for people looking for a "CAT" specific boat.....so please keep your negative comments to yourself...that is all

I'm gonna miss her....

here is a 17' northern lake boat that i bought for a thousand dollars at the end of last year and restored it to make my catfish boat, it has 12 rod holders and a huge livewell on top deck, not a high dollar fancy boat but works for me on the lakes that i fish. the biggest thing that makes it a cat boat is the one driving it (Me)

So what does this new Danny King Catfish boat have? Size, features, draft, motor, live well, warranty, and price.

Would be interesting to find out the price and time it takes to get one, I really like the looks of their 20x72 center console in the photo gallery, hadn't been considering an aluminum for my boat when I buy, but sure do like the looks of that one.

Probably the only gripe I would have is they all have really hi sides, wonder if you can reach the water over the side? But as a custom boat builder Im sure you could get one with a little shorter sides.

I'm not 100% sure on all the details just yet...however he can build to whatever specs you want...u design it and he can build it! I do know that all his aluminum boats will draft in less that a foot of water...

Do NOT deal with Redneck Airboats. They are thiefs and liars. I know countless people who have been ripped off by them. Look into Elite Airboats instead, just down the road from them.
