For those with rangers is your LSS transducer on the jackplate or under the setback? Did you have to mess with the angle at which it sits?

My HDS-7 says the water temperature is 124 degrees. Any way to correct it? Thanks My guess is your temp is pretty accurate!!! Welcome summer in Texas!

I'm looking for help in understanding why I can not get the same detail in downscan imaging on my Elite 7 HDI unit that I get in my HDS 8 (gen 1) unit. Is anyone on this forum that can answer detailed information on the differences in the two units? I am a degreed electrical engineer so don't be afraid of getting too technical in the details. I would be happy to contact tech support for this info but, so far these people are not technical enough to answer my questions. I would be happy to do this in private messages or even via telephone. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

In addition to my previous post seeking info on the difference in downscan between the Elite 7 and HDS8 (gen 1) can someone help me on the subject of 'overlay' capability? First, what are the advantages and/or disadvantages of overlaying data? Second, can I overlay DI data simultaneously on the 2D sonar page? If not, where do I get the data to overlay? I'm attempting to optimize the information displayed on either or both the 2D or DI displays. Currently, I do not have the detail on my Elite 7 that I show in my HDS. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just got a boat with a HDS 10, all seems to be working ok, but I am not getting a side imaging and down imaging to come up when not on demo, shows on Demo. Does the LSS1 puck have to be in water to work.

The one that shows chart, sonar, files, etc. I may be reading your question wrong and if I am then, yes unless you are in water you won't get any reading.

Curious with all the posts on here, why there's not a specific Lowrance forum? And Humminbird for the hummingbird guys? Maybe a sub forum so you don't have to read 33 pages to get the whole convo...

Yes i get that page, the page comes up but i do not get anything, just black. It is the same for down imaging or split screen as well. I am trying this in my shop and not at the lake. I know my old Humminbird 998 would still scroll thru even out of water.

Oh ok, then No. In order to see anything it has to be in water. You will just have a black screen if out of water.

Well, there are about a hundred discussions going on in this 33 page thread, same with the hummingbird thread. Curious if it would be easier to read/respond/share info if there was a separate lowrance and/or hummingbird forum with threads and what have you...

You've probably answered this. I've entered the 21st century, and purchased an HDS 12 and 9 touch. My old unit is an LCX-113C HD. How do I transfer my waypoints to the new units?

Ah got ya now, like sub forums in a Lowrance main page. They have that over at bass boat central. Both brands and even image forums too.

I don't have a positive answer but I see Jason answered it for you on your other post. Congrats on the new graph purchase, they are awesome after a bit of learning.

Precicely. Even if it started as a Sub Forum in the General Equipment section much like the "BUILDING BAITS & POURING PLASTICS" sub forum as seen hereMaybe I'm just too dang lazy...
