East wind got us today. Barley put a limit in the boat. Had some topwater scattered here and there. We would catch 20-30 fish after we got on top of them and 5 mins later the school would move 500 yards. They wouldn't stop. Last place we found them was on the flat at Lavonia. They were super thick here for about 30 mins but the yellows were irritating. Most of the keepers came on the small jig. With this North wind coming this weekend id say, they should be at Lavonia all weekend. Should be easy targets. ( Plano Keith's Hump ). ( Hybrid Point ) directly north of Lavonia. First point on the way to the power house. If they r not in those two areas, they might hit the humps. ( Humps ) They can be on any of those humps. Today my graph said there were mags on them. Slabbed for 10 mins getting thumped here and there. Then finally a 14 inch channel cat was boated. Massive school of channels. They were on the top hump second one to the left. Crazy thick.

Been a month since I have been to Broken Bow trout fishing. I try not to go in the summer due to people every turn and corner there. Still, great trout and small mouth fishing in the river and lake. Crappie too. Take a look at this picture below. This was 7 pmish Thursday. I figure the bite was crapppy this morning, for sure they would bite tonight , so a couple buddies and I hit the lake. . Still had a 7-10 mph east wind blowing when we got there. BUT, I found them! We were in the mother load of fish. We were only there for about an hour! And this is Epic. -we caught absolutely, not even a twig. Literally the worst day I have bad in years. The yellow bass wouldn't even bite. It was crazy. 1000's of fish and maybe 6 bites? We would feel the fish brush up against the line more than we had bites. So anyways, that's what they looked like at Lavonia tonight.

Wow Carey, that is an amazing graph pic!
I'm glad it was you and not me. If I saw that on the graph and didn't catch anything, not sure if I'd have the restraint to not just throw the old 'bird overboard!
Thanks for the report as always, sorry you they just wouldn't turn on for you. Guess everybody (even guides) has a bad day now and then.

Carey,
Thanks for posting and I'm with Sloveless in that I would have been ready to drop a depth charge over the side after not getting bit on that pile of fish.

Today was a fish finder trip on side scan 2d and down imaging. We hit all the sand bass holes and they learned to catch Sandies and crappie. Sandbass top watered at the dam for two hours then we found some huge fish at Glass House in 8-14 ft. Clients didn't keep fish so I gave them to some kids that live in govt housing near where I live. They were happy as usual to get some fresh fish to eat.
Caught 100's of Sandies from 8-15 inches.
