Exactly the reason I don't tournament fish or volunteer to turn control of an aircraft over to a computer during minimal or no ceiling carrier arrests.

Some people don't do well with lie dectector tests or computer aided landings because of their "excitement" level. It has nothing to do with the type of person you really are. While one failure results in shame, the other results in the end of a life.

Polygraphs in tourny's havnt been much on my thoughts until now.

I have yet to fish a tourny and me and a buddy are trying to hone our fishing skills so that we can become competitive

I seriously doubt I would ever have trouble with a lie detector but you never know.

What other alternatives do we have tho to deter cheating ??

If I had my choice I would opt for the poly over the just be honest method.I hate to sound jaded but ive met way to many unethical people in my life to trust in humanity completly.

The way around it is to break up the entry teams by putting someone you don't know in the boat with you. It takes two to tango...break up the teams that enter and change partners. No lie detector test should be needed then...

GIVE A POLYGRAPH IN THE BASSMASTERS , THEY COULDENT TAKE THE CHANCE OF SAYING NATIONALLY THAT POLYGRAPHS DONT WORK . I GUESS IF I AM ABLE TO EVER FISH AGAIN THATS WHEAR I WILL HAVE TO SET MY GOAL TO BE WHEAR SOMEONE CAN WATCH ME AND TAKE THE FEAR OUT OF BEING MENTALLY CRUSHED BY A BOX . I WOULD FIND MY COMFORT AGAIN .

THE ONE I totally understand where you are comeing from I recently got let go from a good job due to a couple people colaberateing a story against me.

I was wronged and for a few weeks it threw me for a loop (loss of self esteem etc... ) not to mention the loss of about 13k a year on my salary.

But we recover and here on this forum you have friends that are behind you that you can once again draw hope from.

Just becareful that you do not allow this situation to make you so bitter that you lose sight of why we fish we do it because we love it and enjoy the good times with our friends with a little healthy competition thrown in.

When you look in the mirror in the mourning thats all that should matter you know you did nothing wrong so dont let a machine and a persons missjudgment get you down.

HI HAWKE I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL , PEOPLE NOT GOING THROUGH THIS TRULEY DONT FEEL THE ACTUAL PAIN , BUT THEY REALLY TRY TO UNDERSTAND , THE MORE POSITIVE I HEAR THE STRONGER I SHALL BECOME, WHEN I LOOK IN THE MIRROR I SEE MY FATHER (A ROCK) OF A MAN AND A WORD OF GOLD ,HE IS WATCHING OVER ME SEEING HOW WELL I HANDLE WHAT HAS BEEN THROWN AT ME .
