Took it to a weigh station an hour away. 2.04 Well then  Still a nice hog! 
The pursuit (where are the fish), rigs design and setup, scouting, the awesome feeling of casting your rigs 100+ yards out, the total focus on the fish and the elements, the outdoors... the total exhaustion at the end of your fishing day,... the cooler full of fish to bring home... Yeah, I'm going to miss bank fishing!

Way to go Jacob. Hope you get the new lake record. Nice Slab for sure. Plus #1. Also remember your pictures. Length,Girth,and you holding the fish!  Side Note: If you were close by I would be glad to weigh your fish.

We have a marina right next to the lake. They have a really nice digital scale, but they said they wouldnt weigh fish. Guess they aren't certified. Must cost a lot to get scales certified?

Try looking for an Acadamey,Bass Pro,etc. They should have a certified scale. Also look for a meat market they usually have certified scales. Make sure you get the serial number off of the scale and the last date it was calibrated. If you are not going to release the fish and you still are going to get it weighed make sure you wrap it with a damp cloth and get it on ice as soon as possible.Parks&Wildlife has a listing of all it's certified weigh stations on it's Web site.  Side Note: It cost about $125.00 per year to keep a scale certified with TPW.
