Tried to set up a Vote. Could not figure out how.
Thought this would be a nice Topic. With Voters.

What is better? Crappie Fillets. Or; Big Bluegill; Fillets?
We came off the water with a mess of both.

Family cant decide.
So????????????

Just enjoy them. Either one of them is 10x better than tilapia.

At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

I have cooked plenty of both. My experience has been that when serving both folks will get some of both on round one. If they come back for seconds they will search out the remaining bream filets.

Bream are my personal favorite. When folks ask for fish I will often give them a bag of crappie filets, but you would have to be someone really special to get my bream.

Bluegill fillets are a lot more work than crappie, and both are good eating. Friends can have my crappie, but I keep the bluegills for myself! To me they are sweeter!

I'd have to say crappie because I don't fillet bluegill. Bluegill are 10x better cooked on the bone! I'd rather have a mess of 'gills any day.

We don't allow our members to keep Bluegill so I hope Crappie wins! Bluegill are the forage backbone of private lakes, without them our beloved bass would not survive. Take all the crappie, leave the bluegill to feed the bass!
