Hear anything yet? You can do better than $6k.Place online had rebuilt ones for $2800+ shipping and core.Don't know what the install will cost.Chances are good it would be better to sell it on craigslist and let a mechanic buy it than repower unless the boat is nice.

Verdict in....kind of. They pulled the covers and everything was good as far as rods and valves so they think it is probably a bearing or something on the lower side. I just told them to get a reman on the way. Looks like it will be out the door for a little less than $6k. I love the boat so I guess I'll do what I have to do. I just got it last Feb. It only had 270 hours.


I love to do a lot of things and aint good at any.

Well it will have a great motor in it now.Years of fun to come.Just hope the noise wasn't in the lower unit instead.Just kidding.I'm sure they diagnosed it first.Good luck
