Started out early for no reason, none at all. First fish in boat about 8ish. looked and looked and then come across a boat show at the famous hump outta Holiday, went around them and looked some more. finally found fish at the first spot i was at in the morning! by then the wife was getting warm with little to no wind so we threw out deep divers and proceeded to catch and catch and as i was taking a double off for the wife, a guide boat jumps in front of me??? no biggie i thought right? well when i troll an area,mark and then catch fish i will stay on course and then turn around and cover the same ground. this guide and you know who you are, marks fish in my lane, throws out a marker and proceeds to slab. directly in my path...WTF??? please dont think i will get upset and leave. wife and i proceeded to catch on every pass! his clients was staring at us catching,sorry. thanks to Joe Read for seeing what we were doing and staying out of our way, lots of fish in that area! Oh and the other guide boat that saw us and left im sure finding fish elsewhere.ok off soap box. all fish caught in 10-22 feet of water, just took a little longer today. 2 limits of sandies biggest was 17inches. and a couple Hybbies to boot!   Happy and a safe Fourth to all!

Looks like I wasnt the only one playing hookie earlier today. Went fishing with my father from 9-12. Did not catch as many, as large fish, or any hybrids as you guys. But we had a great time. Lucky for me, everyone acted nice on Lake Lewisville. Our catch for the day:  Dad foul hooked this:  Hey Ed, I hope you dont mind me jumping in between you post.

Nice fish Ed! Sorry about your encounter with the pot-licking "guide"...
The pursuit (where are the fish), rigs design and setup, scouting, the awesome feeling of casting your rigs 100+ yards out, the total focus on the fish and the elements, the outdoors... the total exhaustion at the end of your fishing day,... the cooler full of fish to bring home... Yeah, I'm going to miss bank fishing!

You and your better half are on a tear lately, Ed! Great pics dude! We found fish and counted up to 5 on hubbard last Saturday, a metroplex lake. The combat fishing is worst at twok! LOL!

That does not look like fun. I feel for whomever has to clean all those fish.

DD-22/pet spoon rigs are money on points with 8-15 fow on Tawakoni...as many magnum sandies as you want to clean up to your limit!
