I have seen over 20 tickets issued to people in boats crossing the imaginary line, people hooking up to the bouies, and u are now not allowed to tie to the poles or fence. And another rule now, u can't tie on or brush clip to the tire reef.
As for the bankers. The fish are easy to get to, just stay on the south side of the fence and u will catch fish easy. Or you can walk north of the fence and get a $400 ticket. Expensive to mess up on Lavon.
I heard three peeps got tickets over the weekend for passing the line.

Lavon is an easy lake for sandies. Watch for the mini boat shows and "Read Cary's Reports"

I am no expert at Lavon, but have managed to at least put a few fish in the boat the last few outings. I always start on the southeast corner of the island, then start heading west. Check all south of the island and in the cut, then the glass house cove.
I can usually mark fish also by the peninsula by Little Ridge park. I've heard the plant discharge is a good place, though haven't hit it up yet personally.

Somehow, both my trips for tomorrow cancelled on me within hours of each other.
So here's a hot shot trip for $150.
Two people 3 hours. 7-10 am. Crazy topwater out there.
Text me or call me to pick up the trip.

Saturday about 5 pm I hit the lake with a buddy. I was graphing major fish schools and the fish were big whatever they were. So we circled the lake and I came right back to the school I saw earlier. The fish were still there. I was baffled because we couldn't get a bit. So we started a small drift at 1 mph and slabbed vertical in the 14 ft depth and ended in 19 ft within 30 yards. It the point at Lavonia near the dam. Old road there too broken up in pieces. We started to finally pick up some big fish. 13-14 inchers and doubles at that. About an hour before sunset the cove just erupted into a boil. Big shad jumping in the air all over the place. That last about 10 mins. Then they went down again. Kept picking them off here and there and had to leave them biting to talk to a buddy at the ramp. Sunday morning at 715 the Sandies started to boil right when I got of plane in the middle of the dam. Mostly dinks but still managed 20 - 30 or so keepers. As soon as we launched it started to sprinkle. The rain was west of us and heading north to south so we were actually fine. Stung like crazy though and I got a rain drop sting my eyeball. That hurts. We didn't get soaking wet, just damp. No lightning. No hero pics, but I bet you start seeing pics from my client today. We hit all 7 spots and some other random spots but the big girls didn't like the front that came through. No room at the power plant so I don't know how they did. The massive 5 boat show hit some good fish that capt Larry found and we picked a doz good ones from there and they vanished to deeper water. We split up and I found a good school at Lavonia and called the boat show over to my location. That lasted 30 mins of no stop action of 8-9 inchers with a few mags thrown in. Saw Capt Larry almost slab up a really nice slab crappie, but the fish was not ready to die yet. Lol. I think he was in like 5 ft of water. I was in 9 ft and he was pretty close to bank. Might have been 3-4 ft. No pattern on the stupid crappie yet. I have for them in 3 ft all the way to 31 ft. Need that thermocline to get here. Then we will have massive boils of Sandies and the crappie will be at 10-12 ft everywhere. Sandies will hang out in the trees, submerged boat ramps. ( they might be to shallow this year for them school up on. ) if your fishing a school for 15 mins and only dinks are showing up, haul butt and go find another school till you find some keepers. They have no time schedule yet on when they r going to boil up. Soon they will pattern out. There is no magic bait for the big ones yet, but throwing out thread fin shad on a good sized split shot 18 inches above on a size 4 eagle claw bait hook, shad hooked through the clear jelly nose. Not through their mouth or eyes. My way will keep them alive longer and they will also trigger reaction bites since they can see the predator coming and starts to freak. I will be doing this from now on if the fish are not coming in the boat fast enough or no keepers are coming in the boat. I did it last year and had fun. Big cats bass and drum along with that rig. I like to use 6 lb line on a spinning reel. Should get hit pretty fast. You have to keep the shad alive for this. Live well needs to be running full blast till your done I don't know if I'm going to fish tomorrow. I moved my trip Monday and Tuesday just in case of the weather. But I might go play just to see how they are reacting to this front. The old lady overheard me moving trips, so now I have a list.

My client had to rescedule this morning so I was solo. Found fish from the dam to the humps. The humps were holding huge fish today. 15-16 inchers. Live shad was a plus, but they still hit on the slab and jig rig. Topwater we at the dam at 830-930 am. Today was big magnum day. Fun stuff. Limited this morning in 30 mins or so. Left them biting.

Had a great morning. The magnum Sandies were on fire for an hour at Hybrid Point. Live threadfins for the dad and his son used a 1/4 oz slab with a jig above it.
