We were out there yesterday as well. We ended up catching a 2 man limit all off brush. The pattern is different than a month ago. Only certain areas of the lake seem to be producing while areas that were on fire have completely turned off.

Sometimes baitfish movement and location has a lot to do with what piles they are biting on as well, last guide trip I had, it seemed like everypile I went to had baitfish around it, whites feeding on the surface ect. I launched at twin bridges, and there was baitfish from the golf course, almost up to the old dam, /. I did not get into fish good until I got to piles away from the shad. Once the shad quit roaming and go hang out by the bubblers most of the day, or the shade the bridge gives off, the crappie should concentrate good. . sure a strange year. thanks for the reports.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Jig master. It might have been me you saw. I was also in that area yesterday. I ran all over the lake. Fished anywhere from 8' deep to 22'. Most piles only caught a couple from. I had to go to 3 brushpiles before I even got a bite. Worked hard and finshed with 23 in the box and turned loose close to that many 10-11". Only 1 or 2 dinks all day but no bigguns.

are the fish looking "skinny" ? That last trip I went out on we only kept the bigger ones, seems like the 10-10.5 inch fish are kind of thin.

I was thinking same thing Thomas .. Ok .. Here's
The report .. Got to my Bp I left them biting at yesterday
At mouth of south bosque at 11 am .. I dropped ole faithful
Jig that I was fishing with yesterday on the same side of the
Pile I was fishing yesterday .. Nothing ... Hmmmm .. Bait
Fish was all over the top of pile I never saw so much bait
Fish .. Then as crazy as it sounds I see bubbles after bubbles
On the opposite side of pile dropped the jig bam it was on u
Ketchin one every couple of minutes really had to Lay the jig
In there real slow pe would get heavy and there was a crappie
.. Remind you I'm not keeping anything at this point that isn't 12 in or better
caus freezer is so full. .. I was ketchin mostly 10 in .. Ended up with 3 nice
Keepers off that pile and a 4 lb large mouth trash fish I through back ..
By this time it's 1 pm .. So I decided to go fish the timber .. Nothing but dinks
One rite after another I caught a one man limit of dinks today ..
At this time I had had my thrill .. But of course I've got to try that one go to tree
Bam caught 6 nice crappie 12 in it better .. Really had to work the stuck up and
Down .. They would snatch it with a light thump and line get heavy .. What a great felling .. Man I love it .. Fished that tree for a hour or so .. Then decided to go
Fish pylons .. First pylon I came to bam large mouth bass 5 lbs boy was that fun
By this time the heat was ketchin up with me so I said one more pylon
Bam a hog crappie .. You know the rest that one crappie made me
Stay another hour and didnt catch another .. Lol ...
All fish in timber was caught on 8 to 14 fow a ft off bottom.. Fish at Bp
Was caught on caught 12 ft brush pile .. Staging jig At
6 to 7 ft down and keeping it very still with a twitch now and then .. The only
Fish at pylons was caught in 14 fow .. Hit me on the fall .. Total for 4 hours
10 12 in or better .. Remember I'm still learning .. But when I get my own piles out in the fall look out ..pay attention .. Living for the thump and living a dream

Awesome report! I have noticed the same on crappie. However, every catfish I have landed looks like they are 9 months pregnant. Completely stuffed with grasshoppers.

Crappie, the other white meat!
