Little boy wanted to go crack of dawn fishing this morning. We were up late last night so we did not start as early as planned. Got to the ramp at about 6:45 and the wind was up more than I was expecting and out of the north. Did not expect that either. Dont really know the lake very well so we headed towards the dam where I read that there was some topwater action. Never saw any. Went over by the red barn and marked quite a few. Anchored out and tried slabs and Mepps but no takers. Wind has picked up even more by now. Headed back and marked some off Robertsons Park but no takers there either. Well, 1 tiny yellow bass.
Son was not having any fun fishing in the wind so we loaded up and wandered Bass Pro Then hit Denny's for a big breakfast.
No fish but a fun day w my son.

Scotty that wind was funny. Before dayligt it was really calm as soon as the sun peeked 15 mph from the north. i
I was not expecting that at all.
