LFT live magic shad and recently I have found the Berkley Havoc Sick fish (the smaller size) ALso work extremely well and are very durable. I caught probably 15+ fish the other day using the same sick fish as a trailer and it was still good to go after that.

I've seen some donkey's caught with the LFT magic shad as a trailer. I don't have much luck with chatter baits but lately as tough as the bite has been I've been throwing them AND a drop shot just trying to make something happen lol.

LFT Magic Shad. I like the large one and I cut off about 50% of the Chatterbait skirt. I think the full length skirt can interfere with some of the action of the magic shad. I also superglue the magic shad allowing me to catch a few more fish before the magic shad is trashed.

I have never caught a fish on a Chatterbait. I have tried using the following trailers and tactics on a Chatterbait for several hours and several different occasions and have never gotten bit:
LFT Magic Shad
Zoom fluke
with a skirt
without a skirt
tried feathering it like a jig
working it fast
working it slow
Early morning prime time
late afternoon prime time

I love the concept of the lure and it looks really good swimming, but as soon as I put it down and pick up one of my confidence baits I end up catching... So my answer is I don't have an answer on what trailer to use...

Zoom ultravibe speed craw green pumpkin on the back of a 3/8th candy craw chatter bait. Fall on slack pull up enough for the blade to vibrate and kill it on slack line.

+1 on the Dipper and the ultravibe speed craw

I am also messing around with two new ones - the Roboworm Robo Minnow and the Optimum Opti-Shad - great tail action and a perfect size for the chatters. I understand that Gambler is coming out with a new size in the EZ Swimmer line that will be a perfect trailer site as well - more to wait on from ICAST!

I like anything that gives off some good vibration. I typically use a swimbait and sometimes try a paca craw or something just to mix it up.
