I have got so much invested I can't afford to pick up another hobby.Plus I have personal reasons to fish.LOL

Well when I have a day like you had I am usually ready to sell everything and take up underwater basket weaving and question my sanity. I fish because it is a obsession and I can't quit!!!!!! Nor do I want to.

I love to do it !!!!! Mostly I do it for fun but I keep fishin this summer because I don't work and I win tournaments ! Lol

My buddy and I started fishing when we were about 8-9 years old at a city park using string, tiny hook, and bread to catch bream. Graduated to spinning gear and artificial lures at about 11. It was fun, exciting, and a great adventure that has lasted a lifetime. Now at age 66 I still love it and look forward to every time out.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

Its the wind in my face when i take off across that lake trimming up that big motor just seeing what this old boat has left in it then enjoying the solitude of my favorite spot just hoping for that monster that ive been searching for since my first cast thirty years ago

I have learned that when I fish I tend to forget about everything!! It's just me and the lake!! When I smoked (I have quit) I caught myself being on the lake all day and not having a craving!! It was crazy to me... It just totally takes my mind off everything! Relaxing!! Fishing is MY time... It never gets old and even without a bite I would go back day after day!! I want to start getting into some tournaments...
