On Wednesday I had Ray and his granddaughter Peyton out for one of their biannual trips, on lake Somerville. It was Peyton's day as she caught the most and the largest, a 5.1# blue cat. Peyton is 12 now, has been fishing on my boat since she was 7 years old. Granddad is worried that she might be growing up and growing out of fishing stuff, but she told me she would be back in the fall. They ended the day with 34 cats for the cleaning table. Fish caught both under corks and with tight lines, using CJ's Monster punch bait, in 7-12 foot water.   On Thursday I had Jeff, from East Bernard, out for a morning of fishing while his daughter and her friends slept in back at camp at Overlook park. Jeff was recently back from Afganistan and returns soon. Jeff caught a nice 9.5# blue while drift fishing to end the morning with 25 cats. All fish caught on CJ's Crawdad punch bait, using corks and tight lines, in 7-13 foot water.
