Does anyone take their kayak cart on the water with them? If so how do you do it...pics please. I was going to build one and just use the rear scupper holes and then when I go paddle I was going to just put it on the back and down through the same holes. I don't want to leave it near a ramp or stash it. I always think someone would take it if they saw it. How does everyone else do it?

Yeah, I used to do that some years back before my trailers. With my trailers I can secure the carts while on the water.

I used bungee cords to secure the cart to the yak.

I just walk mine back to my truck when i've got the yak to the water, and leave it in the cab

If it's a scupper cart, that's the best way. That's what I do on my Outback.

Fold up cart, tied with bungee cord.

Maybe it is just me...but...no way would I put a yak cart in my scuppers. Scuppers are where many leaks develop. Call your yak seller. Rich

All the new Hobies are coming out with reinforced scuppers.

Just in case you need to move to a honey hole across a meadow or other piece of land.
Sure beats dragging your yak around and possibly damaging it.

scupper cart flipped upside down in the tank well or if I am using my C-Tug, I'll just break it down and put it in the hull.

Hobies have reinforced scuppers in the back for this reason.
