Sorry for chiming in so late. Blues on Waco are difficult if you are trying to catch big ones on rod and reel. It's just that "funny" time of year where they are difficult to find. We have only caught a few slot fish in the last month. Tons of 2-4 lb blues, but not much for size.

Drifting is your best bet right now. 18-35' of water. .7 mph or less.
Be sure to suspend a rod or two as well. Lots of fish in the top 10' of water colum right now.

Never too late for advice! I actually wanted to use the guide service, but my wife shot it down. I've been on a longer than usual seasonal lay off. Lots of time, but as usual not allowed to spend much money! As far as size is concerned, it doesn't matter. Obviously everybody wants the fish of a lifetime, but I'm also happy just catching fish. And since I usually crappie fish, a 2-4 lb cat is a big fish!

Heeeeere fishy fishy!

Fish hauler is very knowledgeable and very good. I went out with him a while back and was amazed. If you want to split a trip, I'd be glad to. It would have to be on te weekend
