anyone want to to hit the north end of Benbrook with me later on this evening, say 6:30-dark?

got out to the lake, despite the SE wind i wanted to give it a shot anyway. after driving up and down dutch branch i decided to put in at ramp #3. paddled out past the point and got battered by waves as they continued to come over my bow and flood my deck. i would have pushed on but i couldn't for the life of me get my lowrance elite 5 to show bright enough for me to see what the bottom looked like, let alone any fish/structure.
i have no clue why my ff didn't show as bright as it has every other time i've been out. battery was fully charged since the last time it was out.
anyone know if there is a brightness setting to adjust? i couldn't find one.
all in all i paddled out 10 min and never got to wet a line. :-(

Anytime, good to hear that you were able to find some fish that would bite.
Don't let Benbrook discourage you. It's a real good producer for striper and sandies. Results were much different for those who fished Saturday.

Now they have the bubbles on again?? What the heck! I was out there last weekend and they had none of them so I turned around and went to the Trinity. And of course now they have them on lol. Hopefully they are being more consistent with them now with the warmer weather.
