That's perfect, I'm not gonna put a 90 horse on it, maybe a 5 haha but it'll work just fine. I don't need to hurry I just need to get there. And it's got the dimensions so I just have to come up with a frame and I could get it done I think.

An onion can make people cry but theres never been a vegetable that can make people laugh.

If you get thrown from a horse, you have to get up and get back on, unless you landed on a cactus; then you have to roll around and scream in pain.

Sorry don't get it done dude

To the contrary, it's not at all about speed, but it is all about holeshot. The faster you get moving, the shallower you can get up in, because a planed boat takes a lot less water than a sitting boat. Cool thing about that jet, you can actually be sitting on the bottom and take off, NO way possible to do that with a prop.

I have a 90 on mine, it's just right, but a bud has a V4 140 on a smaller scooter than mine, and he can blow a ten foot hole in the mud taking off, quite impressive actually.

So a 5 horse wouldn't work? I was trying to keep this build at a minimum, that's why it's a build and I'm not buying one. So what is a holeshot?

Holeshot: dead stop to on-plane. Critical performance on a flats rig. Poor dead slug trying to crawl up on plane is painful to watch trying to get out of a poot mud flat.

Apparently there's a gap here between perception and reality. Take a trip to Port O'Connor, Seadrift, Mansfield, wherever they use/need a flats rig and see what's used and what works, get your clue ticket punched, so to speak.
