Boats are nothing more than a series of compromises. If you want to run shallow, it won't run smooth, it's the nature of a hull design, the further you go one direction, the less you'll have the other

I choose shallow water ability, because at Seadrift/POC, you can run shoalwater pretty much wherever you want to go, just no need to cross a rough bay.

Most of the fly rod guys here run the new water curlews, pretty impressive for a prop rig.

Best suggestion is to figure out *where* you're going to fish. Galveston requires a different hull than Port Mansfield. Then see what's being used there.
