Well there might be strippers to be caught somewheres but your more likely to catch Stripers at Canyon down by the dam. I graphed a bunch on Monday in 40-50 ft of water but they wouldn't take my jigging spoon. They appeared to be down as low as 100 ft, might have been big catfish too I suppose.

I yak'd Rebecca Creek boat ramp 11 yesterday. I had to tote my yak halfway as the cove was dried up. I took some pics. I saw bait blow up and that's when I caught a 10 in striper and 2 SMBs. And then nothing. I was using a top popper. I'm gonna try to cast net those minnows next time. If anyone is interested in a yak fishing partner let me know. I live in NB about 35 min away. Thanks.

I would like to "Thank" the person who put the green stuff at Potters Creek ramp! I hope this blessing will flourish and thrive to make the lake something special.

I just moved to San Antonio and am looking for a good place to fish. Been to Cibolo Creek a couple times but would really like to get some stripers and white bass at canyon lake. Is there a good place to go where I could fish from the shore or dock? I don't have a boat.

I'm not sure if it's any good or not, I've never fished it but you can bank fish it (I think).

If you do catch any stripers, keep in mind that there is a consumption advisory on Canyon. Check TPWD for details. Steven

Good numbers of Stripes have been boiling up the morning around the hump. River2sea rover or Duo Pencil 110 have been working great.

So are the gates closed at Potters? (Due to the shutdown?)
As far as the hump, it's the shallow spot in front of the dam. (Hence hump)

Little Jacobs boat ramp (#17)was gated and closed today to vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles...I'm guessing due to the govt shutdown.
