Sounds like you may be fishing lake brownwood. I'm sure there are lighted boat docks on it. I caught 3 tens one year fishing a tx rigged craw worm around lighted boat docks. Midnight till dawn was the best time for this. Big bass go to these lights for a easy meal. Red shad craw worm with a bead for noise. Good luck.

A good starting technique is to fish around boat docks or Marina's using the existing lights. I stick with T-Rig Black/Blue flk worms or Black Neon worms. Slightly heavier sinker than in the daytime to help feel the bites. After about 30 min you will get really sensitive to FEELING the bite especially if you use tungsten weights.

I agree. I like a shakey head at night with a paddle tail worm. The vibration from the paddle tail helps fish find it at night. Don't be afraid to hop it or even swim it. Bass can strike very gently at night but alot of times they hit much harder than they do during the day due to the lack of pressure, as well as the lack of sight. its eat or dont when they can only see a bait for a short time in the strike zone. Also, alot of times a fish may hit very hard but still miss the bait. At night if you get it right back in the same spot most of the time they will hit it over and over till they get a good grip on it.

Also if there are docks on the lake look for lights about an hour after dark. many of the locals will have submered lights and dock lights that shine in the water to light up their docks. these are deadly. Dont get discouraged if you do not cach the ones you see. alot of the big ones sit under the active fish and feed on the injured bait. Thats another reason I like the bottom baits alot for lights. Do not be afraid to come back to a light sveral times in a night. Sometimes the big ones wait till later to feed after the smalleer ones fill up or loose interst.
