It was between 5 and 6 feet long and there was no thoughts of killing it. We do not kill anything just for sport or spite.

not a texas rat snake grin

The picture was taken in South Carolina and the local zoo and other experts believed it was a black rat snake.

I think the tree isn't very big and makes the approximately 6 ft snake seem bigger.
