Just moved here from Nebraska and we are not familiar with the local snakes yet. 
Pain only hurts until it goes away!

A BIG SNAKE! Not sure on the ID, but I don't think it is poisonous. Poisonous snakes have a thicker body than neck and more wedge like head, instead of a rounded head.

I don't know if it's the picture or the snake, but its spine looks weird.
Certainly not a snake to kill, his diet consists of things that cause problems

Thank you for your input. As for the spine if the snake, it was very crooked. I thought it looked very strange also.

That is one weird snake. I looked up photos of a Texas Rat Snake and Black Racers to compare. This snake looks similar to those but its back does not look right.
I have never seen a snake like that. Any other ideas???
