Re-posting from the catfish section... This fish was caught on Lake Texoma around the Lowe's Highport area. It had the scales of a striper, gills like a bass. The fish also had two rows of teeth!! Teeth just behind the lips top and bottom and a u-shaped row around the tongue that were angled towards the back of the throat (these were bigger and looked like those of a domestic cat's fang teeth). Anyway here is the pic hope ya'll can figure it out. I have never seen one of these before and have fished this area of the lake for 30+ years. Thanks for your help in advance.

Golden eye herring. They have some nasty teeth.

I thought a golden eyed minnow and a skipjack were 2 different fish? I catch skipjack below the texoma dam and have caught many golden eyes in lake texoma.

yep..the golden eye have teeth, with teeth all around their tongue..they bite their prey in their mouth then the tongue with the teeth comes out of their throat and grabs the prey in its mouth and pulls it deeper into its stomach.
The skipjack look very similar in looks to the goldeneyes except the skipjack do not have teeth.
You can eat the goldeneyes they are good...the skipjack would be like eating a nasty gizzard shad..
